The Outdoor TiiPii Bed range is built for permanent outdoor use. The beds are crafted with Sunbrella® weatherproof performance fabric and solar-resistant ropes, while the stands are made from 316-grade stainless steel, ensuring they can withstand rain, saltwater, humidity and hearty use, without rusting, fading or deteriorating under normal conditions.

The Indoor TiiPii Bed range, on the other hand, is best suited for indoor and undercover environments. It is not designed for prolonged use outdoors. However, with care it can be used outdoors seasonally, in warm, dry weather.

The main difference between the Indoor and Outdoor beds is the fabric. The Indoor bed is made with high-quality marine-grade canvas, which is durable and resistant to outdoor elements but not meant for extended outdoor use. The Outdoor bed, however, is made with Sunbrella® performance fabric, designed for all-weather durability and minimal upkeep (we recommend using a Poncho for extra protection).

As for the stands, the Indoor stand is made of powder-coated steel, offering some resistance to outdoor conditions but should only be used outside for short periods and cleaned before storage. The Outdoor stand is made of 316-grade stainless steel, built for long-term outdoor use (resistant to rain, rust and UV) with little maintenance required.

We recommend a minimum ceiling height of 9ft (2.74 m) for our stands, which are 8ft 4in tall. This provides ample clearance, however, we suggest measuring your ceiling height to ensure a proper fit. For free-hanging daybeds suspended from a ceiling structure, an 8ft (2.44 m) minimum ceiling height is ideal.
